Chiang Rai, the northernmost province of Thailand is about 785 kilometers north of Bangkok. Situated on the Kok River basin, Chiang Rai covers an area of approximately 11,678 square meters with an average elevation of 580 meters above sea level. The province, which is located within the renowned Golden Triangle area where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand converge, is also known as the gateway to Myanmar, Laos and Southern China.

Today, Chiang Rai is a travelers paradise endowed with abundant natural tourist attractions and antiquities; the province itself is evidence of past civilization. Attractions range from magnificent mountain scenery, ruins of ancient settlements, historic sites, Buddhist shrines and ethnic villages as the province is also home to several hill tribes who maintain fascinating lifestyles. For those interested in the natural side of Chiang Rai, jungle trekking is recommended along various trails.

King Mengrai Monument The monument statue of King Mengrai Maharaj, the first king of Lanna Kingdom (Northern Area of Thailand), who founded Chiangrai in BE 1805. Located 5-minute-drive from Morning Dew Lodge.

Wat Pra Kaew A Must-Visit temple of Chiangrai, the temple that first found the hidden Emerald Buddha in a thunder-striked pagoda, which now located in Wat Pra Kaew in Bangkok. An easy-walking-distance from Morning Dew Lodge (5-10 minute walk)

Morning and Night Market A local market that open early in the morning from 4.30 am 7.00 am and 16.00 pm 19.00 pm for locals to shops for fresh fruits, vegetables, and foods. Recommended to touch the charm of local life-styles and purchase cheap tropical fruits and vegetables. 10 15 minute walk from Morning Dew Lodge

Night Bazaar Hand-crafts market that starts from around 18.00 pm 21.30 pm for tourists to shop for souvenirs and see some of cultural performances. Near by bars and clubs for night life. 5-minute drive from Morning Dew Lodge

Wat Rong Khun (White Temple)Famous tourist attraction in Chiangrai
The temple is designed and built by famous artist of Thailand, Arjarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, this is another must-see temple of Chiangrai with a unique beauty of Lanna style.

Elephant Camp You can travel to the camp by boat along Mae Kok River or get there by car and enjoy elephant-ride then take a boat trip back to town.
